
Dr. Joshua Netto has more than 20 years of managing a wide variety of major real estate projects and programs in segments like hospitality, entertainment, commercial developments, banking, oil and gas, and even NGOs. He on the country leadership team for Turner & Townsend Malaysia, a leading international consultancy in project, program, and portfolio management. Joshua holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), an International Executive MBA, and multiple professional certificates as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) Practitioner, Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Certified International Project Manager (CIPM) and Registered Business Analyst (RBA). He lives in Petaling Jaya with his wife and two children and has recently taken up learning the drums for leisure during the recent movement restrictions.
Dato’ Dr Ooi Kee Beng (黄基明博士) has been studying the process of nation-building in Asia and analyzing Malaysian politics over the last three decades. He was appointed Executive Director of Penang Institute in 2017.
He received his Ph.D. in Sinology from Stockholm University, Sweden. Before returning to the region, he worked at Ericsson Electronics in Sweden for 22 years during the heyday of that company’s mobile phone era, while studying in Stockholm University. Courses that he taught at Stockholm included Chinese History, Chinese Philosophy and General Knowledge of China. His major academic interests were in Language Philosophy and Ancient Chinese Political and Strategic Thinking
He joined Singapore’s Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (now ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute) in 2004, becoming its Deputy Director from 2011 to 2017.
He writes regular opinion pieces for regional and global mass media on Malaysian matters and regional matters. These have been compiled in seven separate volumes. He was Visiting Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong (2009-2012); Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Department of Southeast Asian Studies (2009-2011); He is the Founder-Editor of Penang Monthly and ISSUES (Penang Institute) and ISEAS Perspective (ISEAS). He is also Series Editor for Trends in Southeast Asia (ISEAS).
Lim is presently a Project Manager with Boston Scientific. One of his recent achievement is leading a US$65 million project to transfer a set of medical device manufacturing lines from the U.S. state of Minnesota to Penang. This transfer was a significant milestone for the Boston Scientific Penang site. Aside manufacturing line transfer, he is also experienced in new product development, engineering, production/operations environment (especially in the greenfield environment). Lim is also one of the Future 50 honouree from PMI.
Nehru is the Chief Success Coach of Project Leadership Academy and one of the present Director of Project Management Institute (PMI) Malaysia Chapter. Being a corporate breed, with 34 years of project management expertise, he had developed and managed quite a number of initiatives in various medium/large size organizations.
